Songwriter ~ artist ~ guitarist

Jesus ( Chucho ) Ortiz was born in Bogota, Colombia into a very musical family. At the age of 13 he started to discover the magic of the guitar as well as other percussive instruments, which led him to join some of the local bands playing around his hometown like Planta de soda, Apartado Aereo, Troubled Company and Chiflis the band that developed his original songwriting skills. After he realized that music was his life he iniciated music studies in the conservatory of the Universidad Nacional in Bogota and in the conservatory of the Universidad de Puerto Rico in San Juan where he lived for nearly two years and began to learn music production.

This led him to move to the city of Miami and to start building his idea of a recording studio. He currently colaborates with some of the local bands and artists in the city such as Feneiva, Candice, Sky, Chad, Ivan Band and progressively studies the fine arts of recording and producing. His first self-produced album is expected to be released in October 2007. This is a long laboured work of sonic master piece orchestration that involves the full cycle and scope of Chucho's original talent, knowledge and skills.
